The opening Grand Restaurant Festival party will start at midnight, historically for the first time! The whole night will take place in the spirit of the Baroque, elegance and mystery. You will have a chance to try an extraordinary Baroque menu accompanied by unique cocktails according to Baroque luminaries such as Caravaggio, Bach or Rembrandt. The repertoire will include cocktail gems designed exclusively for Prolog by Erik Lorincz – the head bartender of the renowned American Bar of the Savoy Hotel in London.

This memorable night will culminate with the announcement of the best mask and the most original bow tie by Pavel Maurer and Zlata Adamovská. Winners will get a three-course Grand Restaurant Festival 2017 tasting in an establishment of their choice.

Programme:
  • Seating, champagne and Breton oyster shells, toast and introduction by Pavel Maurer
  • Guided tasting of special Baroque menu, pairing with cocktails (prepared in front of the guests)
  • Awarding of the best mask (ladies) and the most original bow tie (gentlemen) by Pavel Maurer and Zlata Adamovská

Baroque menu:

Welcome drink & taste: Veuve Clicquot & Breton oyster shells

  1. Super Size / HÄNDEL - Did your eggs break on the way from the shop? Never mind, we have found a solution in the combination of Hennesy cognac, Bulleit Rye whiskey, sugar and Peychaud bitters
    APPETIZER – FOIE GRAS TERRINE

  2. El Bulli / CARAVAGGIO - Chef Ferran Adrià's renowned Spanish experimental restaurant does not need long introductions, and therefore we can expect a delicate flavour pairing of Don Julio tequila with black pepper, yuzu, fresh lemon juice, agave syrup and avocado
APPETIZER – RAVIOLI WITH MARINATED BEETROOT AND GOAT CHEESE

  3. French 75 / REMBRANDT - Veuve Clicquot, Jenéver gin, lemon, sugar
APPETIZER – SEABASS FILLET WITH CAVIAR

  4. Good Soldier / BERNINI - I dutifully report that during my service nothing serious has happened... Just Becherovka, fresh lemon juice, home-made beer syrup, egg white and beer came along.
    MAIN COURSE – VEAL TENDERLOIN

  5. Coffee Boulevardier / BACH - The Boulevardier magazine was published in the 1920s and gave its name to one of the most classic cocktails. Apart from Bulleit Rye whiskey, Campari and vermouth, this cocktail also includes special ingredients coffee and orange powder.
DESSERT – CHOCOLATE VARIATION EMBELLISHED WITH 24-CARAT GOLD FOIL
